JOB SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, maintain and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and/or electronic circuits used in machine and motor control, sensing, instrumentation and power supplies of various types.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential Elements:
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of complex industrial and custom-built electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment.
- Working knowledge of programmable logic control (PLC), including ladder diagram trouble shooting.
- Maintain up to date records of wiring diagrams of all equipment and system modifications.
- Repair and maintain all production equipment including welding machines, mass spectrometer leak detector, stamping machines, and any other machinery within the facility.
- Effectively communicate with manufacturing employees to assess and diagnose equipment issues and initiate/implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Coordinate and relay pertinent information to outside contractors to ensure consistent servicing in order to support proper functioning of equipment.
- Support the Maintenance Team in cross-functional efforts related to both electrical and mechanical activities.
- Perform other facilities related work as assigned or required.
Experience: Equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education.
