PRIMARY PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY
Main focus is organizing, modifying, and supporting PAI’s computer systems. Includes installing LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments. Also may be responsible for managing PAI’s IT projects and coordinating project phases from development to installation. Acts as liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants. Work is performed under the general direction of the Information Technology and Systems Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Fulfill the tasks and responsibilities of this full-time position including following all policies, procedures, SOPs, cGMPs, Work Instructions, Supervisor instructions and work required schedule and any required overtime.
- Maintain system efficiency.
- Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.
- Make recommendations for future upgrades.
- Maintain network and system security.
- Evaluate and modify system's performance.
- Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
- Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
- May design and deploy networks.
- May assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
- Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
- May develop requirements, outlines and schedulers for information technology projects.
- May oversee phases of project from conception to completion.
- Assist with upgrading information security.
- Follow PMI standards to manage projects through the project lifecycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure.
- May develop work-breakdown structures.
- May develop project tracking and variance reports.
- Create project documentation.
- Flag potential issues.
- May manage multiple vendors.
- Develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS
. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field. Must have at least 5 years
experience with Enterprise Level network administration.
. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN
. 2003/2008/2012 Server, XP Pro, Windows 7 Pro
. MS Office
. MS SQL
. MS Exchange
. MS IE Versions 8 and above, Chrome and FireFox
. Understanding LAN setup, vLAN setup and deployment.
. Good communication and writing skills.
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES
Standard office equipment, network software, network equipment and a variety of computer software.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The individual will use or work at a computer and have occasional long or unusual hours. On occasion there will be the need to climb ladders or stairs and at varying heights. The use of tools will be frequently used to maintain PC systems which can contain tight or cramped spaces. There will be frequent drives between PAI facilities to perform company business.
