Description

Diemaster Tool & Mold builds custom injection molds for the plastics industry.  We are looking for an Apprentice Mold Maker to join our team. This is a 1st shift position reporting to our shop supervisor.  In this role, your primary function will be machining and fabricating basic components of injection mold assemblies.  To accomplish your assignments, you must be able to read blueprints and use standard machine shop equipment such as milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM.

  • Various machine shop activities such as milling, drilling, turning, grinding, polishing

  • Standard machine shop equipment

  • Blueprint reading

  • Creative thinking

Tools

  • Standard machine shop tools such as micrometers, indicators, vices

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Vocational or technical training in a similar field, graduate from a certified technical school preferred​

Physical

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk the length of the plant several times per day, ability to pass an eye exam
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 30lbs.
