Description:
Electric Power Systems, Inc is a unique company offering a wide range of experience and education in the area of power system operations, design, consultation and studies. We provide extensive services from planning studies, design and construction, to periodic testing and maintenance. We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Alaska team.
Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for the performance of system protective relaying studies, development of protective relay configuration files, performance of short circuit and arc flash studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in protective relay theory and application, including symmetrical component analysis and unbalanced fault topologies. The person will be responsible for analyzing post-disturbance relay event records, direct field commissioning personnel, analyze relay test results, and review and develop protection design drawings. The person will be responsible for preparing reports using Microsoft word and developing proposals and project schedules for projects. The person will be responsible for managing their own projects including tracking project data requests, data submissions, progress submissions to client and comments from clients.
