We are excited to share our industry growth and are currently looking for a qualified CMG Manager Trainee to join one of our Operations teams. Rigorous training consists of 12 weeks. Travel is required for this position with permanent relocation. The desired individual MUST be available to travel and relocate in order to be offered the position of CMG Manager Trainee.
- Job Summary
Under the supervision of a CMG Manager, a CMG Manager Trainee handles the day-to-day operations while maintaining quality performance and high productivity based on budget guidelines for that Operations Team.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a CMG Manager Trainee, you will learn to:
- Run the day-to-day operations and provide daily support to the CMG Manager;
- Work with CMG Manager to improve procedures in order to meet budgetary requirements;
- Prepare reports to track strategic goal accomplishments;
- Ensure safety and compliance with State and Federal standards and regulations;
- Work with CMG Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, and hire;
- Provide oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with CMG policies and procedures;
- Coach, mentor and develop staff according to individual needs, as directed by CMG Manager;
- Establish short-term and long-term goals for the Operations Team;
- Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the department efficiently and effectively; and,
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the team.
III. Qualifications
Qualifications necessary to apply for the CMG Manager Trainee job are as follows:
Education
Bachelor's Degree (accredited)
Military Service with Honorable Discharge
High School Diploma (accredited) with two years of documented managerial work experience
Experience
Documented work experience of two or more years relevant to the waste industry and involving managerial responsibilities is a plus, but not required
Key Skills
Independent thinker, positive problem-solver, effective multi-tasker, proficient in technology, and willingness to accept direction and learn through experience
- Work Environment
40% of this position is in an outdoor industrial environment with 30% in heavy duty trucks. The remaining time is in an office setting.
- Compensation
The individual selected as CMG Manager Trainee will earn an annual salary of $52,000 including mileage, transportation costs, and per diem. After promotion to CMG Manager, a salary of at least $60,000 annually will be made available.
