The Junior Repair Technician is primarily responsible for asset management, boot repairs, programming boots, updating boot (asset/inventory) records and assisting the Senior Asset Specialist with tracking metrics and updating clients on inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Programming Boot Release Codes.
- Quality Control (testing and inspection) of boots prior to deployment.
- Data entry via PC to assist in management of boot inventory by updating boot records
- Work within and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Perform complex asset repairs.
- Perform shipping and handling duties.
- Complete weekly write-off procedure consistently and reliably.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist Sr. Asset Specialist with data capture for departmental metrics.
- Driving company vehicle to pick up or deliver parts, boots, supplies, etc.
- Comply with all IPT LLC policies.
- Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to maintain a valid, current state-issued driver’s license at all times AND must be insurable under IPT LLC’s fleet auto insurance policy and authorized by our insurance carrier to drive an IPT LLC company vehicle.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or Trade School Diploma plus 1 year to 3 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic to intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet browsing ability.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT
This position will utilize a computer and basic peripheral hardware daily. Additionally, a qualified candidate will possess the ability to operate basic manual tools such as a hammer or screw driver and electric tools including, but not limited to, hand-held drill, cutting tools, rotary tools, such as a Dremel. This position will also infrequently use a hydraulic press.

The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds.

The employee will often work in an indoor repair shop environment, but may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions if asked to travel or while loading and unloading assets. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
