Title: Shipping and Receiving Manager
Position Relationships:
Reports to: Director of Integration and Logistics
Position Summary:
Under direction of the Director of Integration and Logistics, the candidate for the position of Shipping and Receiving Manager will perform the following duties:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of AARDVARK’s products, features, functions and value
- Develop integrated capabilities modules
- Design consolidation plan for integrated capabilities modules
- Design packaging for consolidation plan
- Work with vendors to develop new products
- Provide documentation for Configuration Management Plans
- Develop schedule for integration builds
- Oversee government quality inspections for incoming and outgoing product
- Coordinate CONUS and international Shipping (ground, air, ocean)
- Coordinate equipment acquisition and maintenance
- Supervise all warehouse activities (inventory, regulatory compliance)
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic MS Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint experience
- Self-motivated and self-starter, exceptional work ethic
- Excellent team player
- Problem solving skills
- Able to safely operate and have experience with a forklift - forklift certification a plus
Experience:
At least three years of prior experience in manufacturing and logistics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the capabilities to perform the described duties.
General:
Candidate must be detail oriented. Candidate must be able to work well with others and have flexibility to work in various situations outside of warehouse duties. Prior experience in domestic and international shipping, and a working knowledge of the GP database system is a plus. Familiarity with shipping to government agencies, and the specific requirements of such agencies is helpful but not required. Should be familiar with the U.S. Munitions List for State Department licensing. Dangerous Goods Certifications such as 49 CFR, IATA, IMDG and if possible AFMAN 24-204 are ideal. Design experience within a CAD program preferred.
