Job Summary:
Maintain and repair electrical, pneumatic, electronic, control computers and network systems at the Citizens Thermal Perry K Steam plant. This includes maintaining generators and switchgear that operate at voltages up to five thousand volts; environmental equipment maintenance repair and reporting, instrumentation equipment testing/calibration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of motor control centers, switchgear, conduits and wiring
* Maintenance of process measuring and controlling equipment
* Instrument calibration
* Design of new or modified control systems and DCS controls
* Emergency repairs
* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
* Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent or Licensed Electrician
* A valid Indiana driver’s license
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum 5 Years in the Electronic/Instrumentation /Electrical field in a power generation environment with:
* DCS Boiler Control systems
* Power Generators
* Generator synchronization
* Breaker control and synchronization
* High Pressure Vessel interlock requirements (testing, documentation and verification)
* Knowledge of environmental rules, regulations, auditing and reporting Procedures
* Strength I blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
* Previous power plant instrument and controls experience
* Environmental monitoring equipment training preferred.
* PC based SCADA systems and PLC programming would be beneficial
* High Voltage Switchgear

* Single loop controllers
* Final control elements (such as pneumatic valves)
* Analytical instruments (such as gas, oxygen, or combustion analyzers)
