ESC Job Environment
ESC’s Customer Success department is responsible for customer outreach, by helping customers achieve success in using our products and services, as well as gathering feedback on how we can improve. The ultimate goal is to retain 100% of our existing customers.
The department’s outreach efforts include calling and visiting customers, holding webinars, publishing newsletters, notices, and announcements, as well as hosting three customer-focused user group events each year. Through these avenues, the department is able to provide learning opportunities for our customers and directly solicit feedback.
We utilize Microsoft Office 365, SalesForce, Pardot, Fonteva Events, Kentico, SurveyMonkey, and the Adobe suite of products.
Position Description
This is a full-time, permanent position that reports to the Manager of Customer Success. The Marketing Assistant will support existing customers through email communication to help them perform their jobs, as well as promote products and services. The Marketing Assistant will also help coordinate 3 customer user group events each year. All work is to be performed in our Austin, TX office. The successful candidate will:
- Create and send emails, including support notices, newsletters, and product and service announcements
- Develop and update marketing material used for sales campaigns and company events
- Help coordinate public events, including setting up and managing the registration process, coordinating internal assignments, and facilitating travel arrangements for employees and guest speakers at public events
- Update and maintain customer contact and account information
- Manage website content
- Manage inventory of marketing collateral
- Respond to customer emails and phone calls
- Provide administrative support, as necessary
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of work experience as a Marketing Assistant or equivalent
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, adhere to deadlines, and hold others accountable
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Able to work extended hours, as required by business need/deadlines
- Proven top-performer in past jobs
- Proven Team Player that is humble, hungry and people-smart
Preferrred
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Solid understanding of marketing principles
- Experience developing B2B marketing materials
- Experience managing website content
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software, and online applications (CRM tools, marketing automation tools, and online marketing platforms)
