The Opportunity: We are seeking to hire a Crisis Intervention Coordinator to join our Intake & Assessment Team. This individual will provide crisis intervention for individuals known to the agency, conducting follow-up visits with existing clients and with other individuals based on referrals from law enforcement. As appropriate, this Specialist will link individuals with appropriate mental health services and other community supports.

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus for all candidates with an LSW, LPC, LISW or LPCC

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct assertive follow-up of individuals on Assisted Outpatient Treatment.
  • Coordinate with case management and other providers as appropriate.
  • Conduct coordinated wellness visits with law enforcement at the request of agency staff.
  • Assist in completion of emergency admission to Psychiatric Emergency Services or hospital.
  • Incorporate the principles of trauma informed care into practice, recognizing how trauma may influence health practices.
  • Coordinate and present portions of the ADM sponsored CIT training held at Community Support Services several times per year.
  • Complete and submit documentation in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, progress notes and treatment plans.
  • This position is full-time (40 hours a week) working normal business hours.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required.
  • Minimum of LSW required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in case management with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and a demonstrated ability to access.
  • A car and a valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability through the Agency’s insurance carrier required.
  • A deeply held belief in CSS’s recovery-centered mission.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse challenges.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
  • Skill in managing time and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work non-judgmentally with individuals whose behavior and belief systems are incongruent with that of society and/or your personal beliefs.
  • Perseverance in goals with individuals who may not improve or may only improve slowly.
