Description
Melissa is ramping up our Sales Development Team and looking for two Pre-Sales Representatives. Melissa is a leading provider of enterprise Data Quality solutions with a healthy flow of marketing generated leads. Your primary focus is to follow up with incoming leads to qualify interest and set up calls with our Account Executive team.
This position pays $25.00 per hour plus a bonus structure for each qualified opportunity and closed deal. Successful reps from the Pre-Sales team are invited to join the Account Executive Team so a clear path to advancement is in place.
In addition to an aggressive compensation plan Melissa Data also offers personal time off and benefits including a 401K plan.
Once hired, Pre-Sales Representatives will train at our Corporate Office in Rancho Santa Margarita for the first month or so and then will transition to a split home/office schedule.
Your schedule is Monday-Friday during normal business hours, and we are closed for all major holidays.
Now that we introduced ourselves, here’s who we are looking for:
- You MUST be outgoing. We are looking for the type of person that is social and talkative; customer service background would carry over well here
- You MUST have strong communication skills; both verbal and written
- You MUST be unflappable and inquisitive. Highly motivated with a strong desire to help companies solve their real-world business challenges.
- You MUST have a genuine thirst for knowledge and be ambitious to continue learning and improving your craft daily. Being a team player is a must as well.
- You MUST have a degree or at least 2 years of inbound sales/office experience. Don’t have either? Wow us with your other qualitative traits
- You MUST be comfortable prospecting, most of your time will be spent following up with leads generated by our Marketing Department but successful reps spend about an hour a day finding their own accounts to engage.
- You MUST be a good problem solver. Melissa Data strives to create lifetime relationships with our clients which requires listening and problem solving. Our team excels in a consultative sales approach and so should you.
- You SHOULD know how to use Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bonus points: Not required, but Spanish speaking is a plus! We would love to grow our LATAM market and speaking the language would prove helpful for this initiative.
