We're seeking a talented Data Visualization Specialist to transform complex data into clear, engaging, and actionable stories. This role is critical in helping our clients drive informed, data-driven decisions which effectively communicate information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create impactful data visualizations, dashboards, and infographics
- Collaborate with data analysts, researchers, and subject matter experts to understand data sets and business needs
- Translate raw data into visually appealing and easily understandable graphics
- Develop interactive visualizations and data-driven storytelling pieces
- Ensure data accuracy and implement best practices in data visualization
- Stay current with the latest data visualization tools, techniques, and trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Graphic Design, or related field
- 4-9 years of experience in data visualization or related role
- Proficiency in JS and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and statistical concepts
- Excellent design skills with a portfolio demonstrating data visualization work
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data manipulation
- Experience with database systems (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
- ArcGIS Online
