SALARY: $34,936 - $61,137
The Challenge
We're looking for 2 entry-level Engineering Technicians to join our team.
In this role, you will:

- Support senior technicians and engineers in construction inspections, surveying, materials sampling, testing, and construction traffic control.
- Enter project information into HiCams and SharePlus
- Perform a wide variety of standard and non-standardized tests and assignments compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data.
- Perform record keeping and be obtain/maintain certifications needed to perform material sampling and testing.
- Work on a survey party team and perform surveying tasks to inspect roadways and bridge projects in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, as necessary.
What You Bring
-
- Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
- Customer service experience solving problems involving explaining complicated engineering concepts to customer groups.
- Computer experience using office and drafting software.
- Experience maintaining standard daily records and reports
- Knowledge of standards and specifications.
- Plan reading experience.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Good eyesight to use testing instruments, read plans, make accurate field measurements, and inspect roadway and structure components.
- Ability to perform entry-level technical work in a specific material area or perform sampling, testing, and inspection duties to determine specifications.
- Ability to be exposed to high traffic volumes, work at heights over water or traffic.
- Agility to climb on the substructure/superstructure of bridges.
- Ability to work outside in all weather, terrain, and hours.
- Strength to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to attend and pass certifications for sampling and testing classes and obtain and maintain QMS Asphalt and Concrete Testing Certifications.
- Safety toe shoes.
Education & Experience
-
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related curriculum; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
