Where you fit:
As the Director of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for the overall quality program for Springbrook Software. We operate in a complex environment with multiple products and teams. You will need to evaluate the organization and maturity level across the teams, define the QA roadmap to move each team along the quality journey, and actively work with teams to achieve the roadmap. Automation will be a focus across the organization. You have a tremendous opportunity to make a big impact across the organization.
This is a remote position but strong preference would be to candidates in the Pacific and Mountain timezones.
Responsibilities:
- Own the overall quality program across the organization
- Define standard measures for quality to be applied to all products
- Serve as advocate and influencer to promote adoption and adherence to quality best practices, and prioritization and commitment to automated testing across product teams
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and Services teams to identify current challenges and opportunities to improve quality and customer satisfaction
- Lead a group of US and international based quality teams across the organization
- Provide oversight of test execution and adherence to quality best practices to ensure that software products meet end-user functional and design requirements
- Participate with other senior leaders or executives to establish and ensure the achievement of strategic plans and objectives
- Defines and documents quality assurance policies and procedures
- Provides high-level direction for manual and automated test strategy across multiple software components in an Agile environment
- Create a sense of accountability across SQA organization and foster a culture that owns our misses and uses them to drive future improvements
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a QA Manager/Director for enterprise applications
- 10+ years of experience in software QA
- Demonstrated experience working with remote teams, both in the US and internationally
- Demonstrated success advancing automation testing coverage and capabilities
- Demonstrated experience defining/optimizing a successful quality program
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Independent thinker with creative, resourceful, and proactive problem-solving skills
- Track record of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers across organizations (Product, Development, PM, UX, etc.)
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial or online payment enterprise applications
- Experience with modern Cloud providers such as Azure or AWS
