Primary Office: Loudoun Regional Office (LRO)
Hours per Week: 40 non-exempt
Staff Supervisor: Program Director
Telework Available: ____ No X Hybrid (1 day after 90 days of training)
Starting Hourly Rate: $23.25-$23.75
Position Description:
Serve as case coordinator (80%) and assist applicants requesting financial aid for rent, utilities and/or car repair. Determine if the caller qualifies for assistance and track their responses on a referral form. Conduct financial assistance client interviews. Provide referrals and links for applicants to access services within Catholic Charities’ programs or externally for housing, employment, counseling, and other basic needs.
Responsible for the maintenance of the EA client data management system. (20%)
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct intake and eligibility assessment with clients through a trauma-informed care lens, reviewing program policies, procedures, requirements and client’s rights and responsibilities. (Daily)
- Maintain required eligibility documentation and perform accurate inputs and updates of client data into agency databases and documents services in case notes. (Daily)
- Provide all services within the required timelines and monitor clients’ progress through outcome surveys. (Daily)
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, providing information on other community resources including the Britepath financial literacy incentive program. (Daily)
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of client data to EA client data management system.
Other Duties:
- Willingness to travel in the Diocese as needed.
- Willing to uphold Catholic social teaching in the workplace. Assist with client events and outreach to the communities we serve.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Proficient in internet, outlook, MS Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong interest in helping underserved populations is a plus.
- Ability to respond in stressful situations with professionalism and efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree with at least 2 years’ experience in the provision of human services.
- Prior experience in database management required.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to manage or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
Must occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
