Primary focus of the position is to provide intern with basic understanding of the Government Contracts industry.
Position will at a minimum support the following functions:
- Assists the contracts and procurement departments with drafting, reviewing, and issuing contractual documents.
- Assists in drafting boilerplate contractual documents under the direction of the Contracts Manager and Subcontracts Administrator.
- Maintain contracts and subcontract reporting spreadsheets.
- Assists subcontractor administrator with development of subcontractor’s Request for Proposal (RFPs), review of subcontractor’s proposal response and completion of price/cost analysis.
- Support the closeout process for both contracts and procurement departments.
The ideal candidate must possess the following experience, competencies, and qualities:
- Sound judgment capability and discretion with confidential information
- Problem solving capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Self-starter, organize assignments, prioritize tasks, and complete projects on time.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail required.
