Description
Position Description:
- The Material Expediter (Ammunition) executes the following: locates, accounts and moves ammunition and explosives (A&E), equipment and gear to support munitions receipts, pre-pulls, issues, turn-ins, shipments, inter-depot transfers (IDTs), inventories and other A&E related movement to include storage and accountability while maintaining related and proper documentation, packaging, sealing of ammunition containers, markings and notations required for accurate data.
- Material Expediter (Ammunition) is responsible for conducting pre-operational checks on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), government vehicles and other equipment prior to use, responsible for assisting with identifying service order opportunities within the ASP and area of responsibility for reporting to Techs, Leads and Supervisor in order to maintain a continuous state of environmental, explosives safety, safety and physical security posture.
- Material Expediter (Ammunition) can be assigned to any Material Expediter (Ammunition) position within the ASP; such as Escort, Turn-in (Live), Turn-in (Residue), Storage or location thereof.
- Material Expediter (Ammunition) receives daily work load and additional tasks associated with ASP contractor responsibilities in support of servicing customers, upkeep and maintenance of ASP facilities and equipment from Techs, Leads and ASP Supervisor. This includes but, is not limited to conducting inspections of equipment, annotating, and submitting documents for equipment dispatches, and key control to name a few.
- Providing service and escort to all ASP customers; units, contractor, visitors, other Receipts, issues, turn-ins, shipments, inter-depot transfers (IDTs), inventories and other A&E related movement, storage and accountability processes.
- Accounting for A&E prior to, during, and after physical transaction/process.
- Following A&E accountability, safety and physical security policies, procedures and direction.
- Process and account for ammunition residue turn-ins using MHE or other approved equipment to handle and store A&E
Job Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to squat or kneel on continuous occasions.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
- Must be physically and mentally capable of handling ammunition and explosives (A&E).
- Must have a good working knowledge of policies, procedures, handling, storage and hazards associated with ammunition
- and explosives (A&E).
- Must have completed and/or must complete Ammo 45, 67, 68, 108 within 30 days of receiving CAC (Common Access Card).
- Must Possess a forklift license or receive within the first 30 days of assignment.
- Must have four (4) years of experience handling ammunition and explosives (A&E).
- Preferred ammunition and explosives (A&E) certified
