Description
Job DescriptionLIM is seeking a Securitized Trader who will be focused on monitoring and trading ABS, CMBS and RMBS securities across our separately managed institutional client portfolios.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Trade ABS, CMBS and RMBS securities across various strategies of separately managed portfolios
- Develop understanding of the different portfolio mandates, strategies and constraints to determine effective implementation of ideas across portfolios
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and issuers
- Interact closely with other members of the securitized team and portfolio managers to ensure timely and accurate execution of securitized strategy
- Work with the securitized team to further advancements and improvements in the existing analysis and surveillance framework
- Gather and disseminate market and sector information (spreads, issuance, etc.) to investment team
- Work with the analytics team to ensure securities have been accurately structured and priced
- Assist in the rebalance of portfolios in response to cash flows, benchmark changes, market price movements, and changes in client guidelines
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience on a fixed income trading desk with knowledge of/experience with structured products securities a must
- Strong analytical skills, including Bloomberg and MS Excel, with an ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Solid work ethic and organizational skills, coupled with a growth mindset, continuously investing in personal development and improvement of our processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working in a highly collaborative, team-based, and results-oriented environment
- Impeccable integrity, fiduciary mindset, and ability to consistently place the interests of our clients as the number one priority
- A Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials, and CFA designation, or progress towards a CFA, is preferred
