Shift: 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM, full-time

Accessioning Technician / Courier is responsible for accurately handling and processing all laboratory specimens, ensuring specimen integrity and specimen rejection by adhering to laboratory policies and procedures. Also, you will drive a company vehicle to various clinics to pick up Laboratory Specimens for us to process.

Position Responsibilities:

• Utilizing technical skills and abilities to accurately handle and process patient specimens, verifying that all required information is present, and the paperwork matches the specimen.
• Determines specimen acceptability, ensuring specimen integrity and resolving issues with patient specimens.
• Completes other duties including clerical, cleaning, disposal, supply stocking as needed.
• Communicates effectively at all levels within the laboratory and with laboratory clients verbally and in writing.
• Courier responsibilities including occasional use of personal vehicle.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma, or equivalent, required and valid driver's license

Computer skills are beneficial

Physical Requirements:

Some prolonged sitting, twisting, and typing. Ability to lift items weighing 25 lbs. or less, must follow all PPE requirements.
