Description
The University of Dallas Constantin College of Liberal Arts is hiring for a visiting position with the title of Affiliate Instructor of Spanish. Candidates with an interest in Latin American literature, especially poetry, or Spanish Peninsular Literature are welcome to apply. Secondary interests in translation, Spanish for the professions, and/or Spanish for Heritage learners are desirable. This is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track position, renewable for up to two additional years. The start date is August 20, 2025.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position involves teaching a wide range of lower-division courses in language and culture.
- Course load is three courses per semester.
- Candidates should demonstrate be willing to engage in departmental service.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
- Candidates should have a master’s degree at time of appointment, native-like command of Spanish, and university teaching experience beyond their specialization.
