Passero Associates' Marietta, GA office has an excellent opportunity for an Aviation Civil Engineer. The candidate we seek will support development of a wide range of airfield and municipal project plans, including civil design (grading and drainage, pavement, utilities, storm water management) and the preparation of quantity takeoffs, technical specifications, and contract documents for projects throughout Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. The selected candidate may also be involved in construction observation activities, representing Passero and our client on construction sites. Responsibilities/Opportunities:

• Prepare conceptual designs, preliminary cost estimates, and permitting documents.
• Develop design documents, construction plans, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
• Perform construction administration and construction observation services, both in the office and in the field, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs, and reviewing pay applications.

Qualifications/Experience:

• AS or BS degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Course work in civil/infrastructure design, transportation engineering, water resources, pavement engineering, construction management, and related topics.
• EIT or PE license a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Related work experience in design or construction a plus.
• Effective communication and technical writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings, with occasional overnight stays.
• Ability to obtain Airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge required, including Federal Background Check (with clear record).
