JOB TITLE: Warehouse Assistant Supervisor (CIF)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technica LLC seeks an Assistant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Central Issue Facility, (CIF), Conus Replacement Center, (CRC), and Individual Chemical Equipment Management Program, (ICEMP) facilities on a military contract. The position is a direct report to the supervisor and will assist in managing the issue, receipt, exchange, and turn-in of organizational clothing and individual equipment (OCIE) to and from military personnel and occasionally contractors. This position involves supervising a large team of employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, standard operating procedures (SOP) and contract requirements, while maintaining accurate inventory records, and providing excellent customer service to Service members and other CIF users.
Performs as the assistant supervisor for all aspects of technical supply management work (i.e., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization and disposition) related to a depot level. Work usually covers Table of Allowances 50 (TA-50) (Army-issued individual equipment) and must be capable of dealing in many commodity areas or functional areas in a planned customer support and priority-based manner.
Assists in the supervision of daily supply operations and leads others in the performance of all tasks assigned to include the receipt, issuing, storing, and maintaining of all TA-50 at the Central Issue Facility (CIF) and the CONUS Replacement Center (CRC). In addition to unit support provided by the Individual Chemical Equipment Management Program (ICEMP). Enforces standards of discipline with all employees and ensures compliance with all safety protocols. Reports all administrative infractions and safety incidents to the Supervisor within the required timeline as per company policy.
Understands that the amount of responsibility delegation that is appropriate for each segment of operations, is constantly reevaluated based on mission completions and positive customer feedback. The work generally involves multiple case problems or supply actions resolution in a timely manner. This work may require consideration of several program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines, based on mission completion goals and objectives.
This position is contingent upon meeting the requirements, a background check as well as a drug test.
Daily activities may include:
- Assist in overseeing employees and core services related to OCIE, including requisitioning, receipt, storage, issue, turn-in, recovery and disposal in three primary locations: 9 warehouses in total.
- Attend meetings in the absence of the supervisor or as directed.
- Assist in prioritizing, scheduling and deconflicting long- and short-term calendar issues related to all Compos of the Army, other military branches and occasionally contractors. Updating shared calendars as changes arise and are approved by the supervisor.
- May attend Mobilizations/ Demobilization syncs and meetings in the absence of the supervisor or upon request.
- Recommend to the Supervisor and apply new procedural steps for issuing OCIE to Service Members and contractors and maintaining accurate hand receipt records. Support storefront operations with updated inventories and procedural surveys.
- Facilitate gear retention for Service Members undergoing PCS or ETS, ensuring all necessary items are retained as per the SOP requirements and CIF guidelines.
- Assist in overseeing the management of chemical defense equipment warehouse, including receiving, storing, and issuing Individual Chemical Equipment Management Program (ICEMP) items. Track assets and handle stock with condemned shelf life according to ICEMP guidelines.
- Assist Service members and contractors in exchanging and clearing unneeded items from their clothing records, adhering to the regulations. Report receipt of items and complete the lateral transfer process in accordance with the SOP and CIF guidelines.
- Reviewing and approving time sheets, administrative leave and occasionally time sheet corrections.
Required:
The ideal candidate must be extremely mission oriented, customer service focused, capable of long-range planning, analysis, and the ability to understand budgetary constraints while processing the following additional requirements traits:
- A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, (Installation Support Module - ISM and E-FLIPL) programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- An understanding of the needs of the organizations serviced and their overall mission completion concerns.
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to quickly research and collect the necessary data, to establish the applicable facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of systematic established guidelines.
- Must have several years' experience in and with military supply and logistics systems at the Brigade or above levels.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance to perform duties and attend classified meeting and briefings, this is a minimum requirement as the senior supply operations supervisor.
- Performs other duties and additional duties as assigned.
Preferred:
A Bachelor or higher degree in business, management, logistics or the equivalent civilian/military service schools graduations or prior supervisory experience (normally 8 plus years) to verify the abilities and competence required to perform in a wide scope of supply related tasks. Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) of 92Y or 920A.
Physical Effort:
Performs some duties in a moderate stress office environment based on mental abilities and decision making with very little actual physical effort required. Performs considerable amounts of duties in a warehouse or outdoor setting. Must be capable of multiple tasking and organizing work force to perform missions that may require the assistant supervisor to do a limited physical demonstrative example of tasks required to complete the mission.
Working Conditions:
Performs most duties in an office environment with suitable climatic controls and normal office equipment. Is required to occasionally perform duties in a warehouse. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor as required.
