SALARY: $33,272 - $58,226
The Challenge
We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Division 9 Equipment Shop team.
In this role, you will:
-
- Perform progressive tasks involving servicing and repairing mechanical systems of gas/diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment.
- Perform mechanic work at various levels, varying in complexity depending on the type of mechanical system.
- Serve as a Level I mechanic performing skilled mechanic work on systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Install/repair tires, and tubes, wheels and rims, cranking systems, lighting systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems.
What You Bring

- A full set of mechanic tools.
- Ability to perform duties meeting and following all safety regulations.
- Ability to prepare and maintain paperwork, equipment repair, inventory, and service records.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Strength and agility to move parts and materials to repair and maintain equipment.
- Ability to safely operate equipment for testing purposes.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to providing safe working environment by leading by example.
- Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker (N) endorsement. (Don't have it? Still Apply! You can earn it through our on-the-job training within 360 days of hire.).
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Safety toe shoes.

- This role requires work during bad weather, such as snow/ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. that can lead to working extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays.
- We will conduct a pre-employment drug test and a background check for your previous employers over the past 3 years about controlled substances/alcohol testing.
- We may require EPA certification as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician.
Education & Experience

- High School/GED diploma, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
