Position Overview:
Responsible for configuration control during product development phase. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations and system updates. Drafts configuration analysis plans to encompass contractual requirements. Reviews contracts and determines configuration requirements. Assists in the development and maintenance of database.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for configuration identification of software and documentation, including assigning unique ID numbers and ensuring version control.
- Maintains automated and partially automated configuration management processes.
- Maintains a physical CM Library, providing controlled access and reproducing data as needed.
- Regulates the change process to ensure only approved and validated changes are incorporated into program products.
- Tracks CDRL due dates, ensuring timely delivery and configuration control of all versions.
- Responsible for configuration audits.
Required Experience/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Desired technical certification (e.g. ITIL, CMII, CM, II, IAT, NDIA, CMPIC)
- 2 years' experience with Asset and Configuration Management processes and procedures
- 2 years' experience in asset management and data tracking methods
- Experience performing configuration item identification, baseline definition, source code control, Action items and CM library use, and change request management
- Working knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
- 2 years hands on experience with Asset / CMDB tools
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of tools and Adobe Acrobat
- Working knowledge of CM tools, including JIRA, GitLab, and other CI/CD tools.
- Experience working within a CMMI / Agile / Department of Defense environment
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools, Adobe Acrobat, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, computer hardware and networking
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
In accordance with the specifications of a government contract, eligibility for this position mandates U.S. Citizenship status and ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance. The precise security clearance requisites will be detailed in the Government's Task Order.
