Duties: Under general direction, ensures that the Stickney Area facilities are operated and maintained in a cost effective manner in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances and permits. Serves as Deputy to the Director of Maintenance and Operations.
Salary/Pay Plans
The salary listed above is Step 1 in a structured pay plan. At 6 months of employment with the District, the salary will increase to Step 2: $222,766.18. At 18 months, the salary will increase to Step 3: $235,135.94. There are 9 total steps for TAM 23 of the pay plan (view full pay plan). These increases are based on service time in the job classification and require a 'Meets Standard' performance rating.

Absolute Requirement: Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
Minimum Requirements: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university majoring in engineering and twelve years of engineering experience at the professional level of which at least six years must have been in work related to the District’s activities. Six years of this experience must have been in an administrative capacity with responsibility for major engineering projects or plant management, including technical and budgetary accountability. Substitution: Graduate study in engineering may be substituted for the non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
