SALARY: $46,817 - $81,930
The Challenge
We're looking for a traffic engineering specialist to join our award-winning Division 7 team.
In this role, you will:

- Conduct traffic engineering investigations including speed zone studies and intersection surveys for traffic signals.
- Develop plans for signing and pavement marking needs.
- Lead traffic analysis using software programs.
- Prepare pavement marking and sign installation plans.
- Perform travel time studies and communicate with contractors, the public, and government agencies concerning traffic engineering policies.
What You Bring

- Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
- Customer service experience resolving problems involving explaining complicated engineering concepts to customer groups.
- Experience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems.
- Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering plans and specifications.
- Computer skills to use basic office and engineering applications.
- Skills to accurately read and interpret project plans and inspect contract projects.
- Good eyesight to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer screens, and conducting visual inspections.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and extreme hot and cold conditions.
Education & Experience
-
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related discipline, and
- 6+ years progressive technician experience; or
-
- High School/GED Diploma, and
- 8+ years progressive technician experience; or
-
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
