The Challenge
We're looking for a traffic engineering specialist to join our award-winning Division 7 team.
In this role, you will:
    • Conduct traffic engineering investigations including speed zone studies and intersection surveys for traffic signals.
    • Develop plans for signing and pavement marking needs.
    • Lead traffic analysis using software programs.
    • Prepare pavement marking and sign installation plans.
    • Perform travel time studies and communicate with contractors, the public, and government agencies concerning traffic engineering policies.
  
What You Bring
    • Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
    • Customer service experience resolving problems involving explaining complicated engineering concepts to customer groups.
    • Experience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems.
    • Experience working in a team environment to complete assignments.
    • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering plans and specifications.
    • Computer skills to use basic office and engineering applications.
    • Skills to accurately read and interpret project plans and inspect contract projects.
    • Good eyesight to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer screens, and conducting visual inspections.
    • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
    • Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and extreme hot and cold conditions.
Education & Experience
    • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related discipline, and
    • 6+ years progressive technician experience; or
      
    • High School/GED Diploma, and
    • 8+ years progressive technician experience; or
      
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
