FP&A Analyst

Position Overview:

The FP&A Team at Anaqua is seeking an Associate in our Boston office. This role will report to the Manager, FP&A and be responsible for key deliverables related to month end close, monthly and quarterly reporting to internal and external stakeholders, assist in building the annual global budget and more.  A problem solving and process driven candidate who can think outside the box is desired as he/she will also be tasked to enhance our current reporting models, reporting processes and integration of our newly implemented FP&A tool NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB).

  • Manage daily reporting through month end close
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to private equity ownership group, lenders and other stakeholders
  • Enhance and streamline consolidated reporting including compliance package for private equity ownership group
  • Manage data and drive analytics and reporting around global expenses
  • Participate in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling, that provides relevant and insightful intelligence that influences strategic decision making
  • Develop and implement new or improved procedures and processes to enhance the productivity, efficiency, and workflow of the Finance Department, including driving process automation leveraging existing templates and systems
  • Assist in regulatory reporting for compliance requirements with our U.S. Department of Commerce
  • Ad hoc projects

What You’ll Need to Be Successful…

  • This is a hybrid role with expectation of coming into the Boston office from time-to-time
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of FP&A experience
  • Strong MS Excel / PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Financial Systems (NetSuite, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, Smartview)
  • Self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrates experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding
  • Meticulous organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain a calendar, anticipate and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to listen and interpret the requirements of internal clients, plan accordingly and exceed expectations
  • Exemplifies initiative, intelligence, strong attention to detail, and integrity in striving for continuous process improvement – a “right first time” approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates financial modeling knowledge and skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills

Additional Skills Preferred:

  • SaaS industry experience. International experience a plus
  • MS Access, SQL
  • Ability to navigate Salesforce or a comparable CRM system
