Description
Job Summary: Subject Matter Expert for designated program activities and personnel related to U.S. Army training management and training execution in support of testing, future system development, and production.
Essential Job Functions:
Implement U.S Army doctrine and TTP used to plan, test, and demonstrate software and system capability.
- Plan, conduct, and attend necessary exercise planning meetings to coordinate exercise, test, and training support.
- Support the design and creation of software test plans, cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporate various software applications and tools focusing on U.S. Army Mission Command Information Systems found in Battalion and above command posts.
- Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.
- Works closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software and hardware implementation.
- Understands the AGILE method of software development and can work in an AGILE environment
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Ten (10+) years of recent U.S. Army experience with staff experience at the Battalion or higher level.
- Ability to establish an effective working relationship with senior-level customers, technical staff, managers, and peers.
- Exceptional communication abilities with a demonstrated capability to coordinate and align efforts between government customers, executives, subcontractors, and team members.
- Seven (7) years' experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
Desired Skills/Education/Experience:
- PMI-ACP and understanding the AGILE method of software development.
- Thorough understanding of Army and Joint mission command systems architecture, interoperability and network requirements.
- General aviation experience is a plus.
