Under direction of the Senior Communications Manager, conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality materials to establish NCITE as an authoritative source for research on terrorism and violent extremism. The Graphic Designer position requires a comprehensive knowledge of graphic design concepts and tools. The position will be responsible for producing visually appealing and highly accessible products for use by an array of audiences, including academic reports contracted by the federal government, handouts, digital signage, web products, and other print and digital material. This position will also help in keeping the NCITE website up-to-date and well organized. The position will serve as a translator, communicating the importance of high-quality and consistently branded design to academics and government practitioners in the NCITE consortium and will be a champion for a consistent and visually appealing NCITE brand.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year of experience in marketing, graphic design, or a related field
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Microsoft Office products, and other design tools
