Description

Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic Lead on a government contract with a place of performance at Fort Bliss, TX. This position is full-time but temporary. Anticipated period of performance ending 03 July 2025.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists the Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor in managing fleet maintenance activities for military and civilian equipment (inspections, services and repairs) using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army).
- Assists managing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of civilian and/or military equipment, ranging from the HETs, HMMWVs, FMTVs, Palletized Loading Systems, Trailers and Generators.
- Account for mechanics' man-hours and input into GCSS-Army
- Ensures equipment is inspected, serviced and/or repaired IAW applicable Technical Manuals.
- Assist identifying technical training shortfalls and when necessary, assists training mechanic to diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions accurately using the latest equipment, technical manuals (TM), and procedures available.
- Assists conducting research on repair parts (materials) not received by its estimated ship date (ESD) and requests walk ups on parts on base.
- Assists enforcing safety and environmental standards in conjunction with maintenance operations.
- Ensures all employees observe policy, procedures and regulatory guidance for physical security, and monitors for compliance.
- Ensures all physical security in maintenance in shop(s).
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have experience supervising vehicle maintenance operations, specifically Army Maintenance.
- Must have hands-on experience with GCSS-Army; the ability to provide information, data and reports using GCSS-Army is required.
- Must possess knowledge of AESIP and Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC) applications.
- Must have knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Must be proficient in using EMS-NG.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position
- Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
- Able to function with a basic level of English oral and written language skills.
- High school diploma or
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to stand for a minimum two continuous hours.
- Must be able to climb on equipment in able to perform inspections and
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident or foreign national with authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet.
- Be able to pick up and movement items within a 50 restriction.
