Position Summary:

Responsible for coordinating the acquisition and ingestion of digital media assets from content providers through release and circulation on hoopla applications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this position successfully, an individual must fulfill the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements listed below.

  • Coordinate the process of acquiring and preparing digital products for circulation:
    • Arrange and setup the delivery of digital media assets
    • Track the processing of digital assets through final quality control testing and release onto hoopla
    • Work in conjunction with the hoopla Marketing team to prioritize ingestion for high profile releases and marketing campaigns relating to hoopla.
  • Perform QA on incoming digital content and re-format/edit as needed.
  • Support on-going content delivery ingest and processing
  • Troubleshoot and reconcile invalid or missing digital assets received and/or failed ingestion processing.
  • Develop and document vendor delivery preferences and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot content circulation and play-back concerns stemming from reported user/customer errors.
  • Cross-train and back up other content ingestion team members during absences and periods of high workload.
  • Perform additional business analysis as required by running reports, accumulating data, etc.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in the digital media publishing industry.

Skills:

  • The ability to manage large amounts of digital media assets.
  • Familiarity with the tools, concepts, and methodologies of FTP and other file transfer technologies.
  • Familiarity with digital media playback on mobile devices such as Apple’s iPad/iPhone and a variety of Android smart phones / tablets.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Knowledge of digital media formatting, processes, and industry standards preferred
  • Excellent focus and strong attention to detail
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meets goals
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate technical issues
  • Strong customer service and relationship management mindset
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree in a related field.

Preferred Experience: 

  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with personal computers running both Windows and Apple operating systems.
  • Experience with digital asset management is preferred.
  • Experience with media playback and services on a mobile device is preferred.
  • Experience with HTML is an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with writing database queries is an asset, but not a requirement.
