We are seeking to add an experienced Network Engineer to join our IT Networking team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in designing, maintaining, and optimizing our company’s network infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and local and wide area networks to ensure optimal performance and security. Successful FBI background check is required.
This position pays $80,000 - $100,000.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Design and monitor LAN/WAN for optimal performance and availability.
- Manage DNS and user access on network devices.
- Collaborate with telecom engineers for seamless integration of voice, data, and video applications.
- Conduct evaluations of new networking products for compatibility.
- Partner with IT teams to identify skill gaps and report status to IT management.
- Document network standards and best practices.
- Engage in self-study and complete at least one development class annually to stay current on networking standards.
- Uphold corporate security policies and report any security concerns.
- Provide support for telephone infrastructure, Cloud Networking, and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years with Cisco networking and firewall products; cloud networking experience is a plus.
- Valid CCNA certification is preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
Education
High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field preferred)
