With 2% Rapid Deployment Pay (after police academy): $81,152 (2025 - $84,423)
After 1 year: $98,542 (2025 - $102,513)
After 5 Years (Top Out): $115,932 (2025 - $120,604)
Master Patrol Officer: $119,342 (2025 - $124,151)
Up to $1,200 Annual Education Pay for Law Enforcement Related Degrees

The Bolingbrook Police Department has 116 sworn officers and offers countless opportunities to serve our village of 77,000 residents. Bolingbrook is a diverse community located in the Chicago suburbs consisting of residential, retail, corporate headquarters, and commercial properties.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
At least sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of credit at a college or university accredited by a recognized regional or national accrediting body. (Military service, work-related training, or work-related certifications may be considered in lieu of or in combination with college credit.)
Have vision correctable to 20/20
United States citizen
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Firearm Owner Identification (FOID)
P.O.W.E.R. test card issued no more than 12 months prior to date of written examination
Pass all stages of the hiring process
Must reside within a 30-mile radius within 18 months of hire

Bolingbrook Police Department - Entry Level Police Officer
The Bolingbrook Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Police Officer until January 3, 2025 at 5:00 PM for entry level applicants who are not current law enforcement officers.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:
High school diploma or GED and at least sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of credit at a college or university accredited by a recognized regional or national accrediting body. (Military service, work-related training, or work-related certifications may be considered in lieu of or in combination with college credit.)
21 years old by date of hire; maximum age of 35 years at time of appointment (unless otherwise exempt by Illinois Statute)
United States citizen
