Applicants must:

Be high school graduates or equivalent
Be ages 21 to 34 at the time of the application deadline, unless otherwise provided by State Statue 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6
Be able to successfully pass a:
- Written test
- Physical agility test (Police Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (P.O.W.E.R.) *The P.O.W.E.R. test must be successfully completed within 12 months prior to the Oral Interview
- Oral interview *Oral Interviews will only be granted to those who qualify for, take, and pass the Written Exam
- Background investigation
- Psychological and medical examinations
- Reside within 30 miles of the Flossmoor Village Hall upon appointment
