Description
The Research Associate II provides support for UAS general development and integration of aviation components.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform research and analysis utilixing safety protocols in utilizing
• Serve as an Engineer for UAS general development and integration of aviation components
• Perform coding and programming in support of UAV avionics, aviation and related programs.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain integration software and hardware systems.
• Perform and maintain the configuration of integration software and hardware systems.
• Facilitate, and provide support program and technical interchange meetings
• Support customer technical interchange meetings
• Support hands on testing of UAS operations and software functions
• Lead, facilitate and conduct demonstration for customers

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree - preferably in science, engineering, or business
• 21 months (1.75) years of full-time verifiable work experience.
• Ability to develop and integrate software and systems in the accomplishment of Aviation and Aerospace requirements
• Experience in UAS development, integration and operations
• Computer Programming Languages for Aviation and Aerospace programs
• Previous experience with technical writing of assigned reports, and government and legislative reporting.
• UAS pilot using Part 107
• Knowledge and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools
• U.S. citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree - preferably in science, engineering, or business

Desired Qualifications
• Master's degree or equivalent years of experience in an engineering, scientific or aviation management field is preferred
• Previous UAH experience is desired
• Previous experience in the Design, Testing and Configuration of UAV systems, and UAV small fixed wing vehicles

Salary: 56,250 - $62,000
