Mental Health Services Department:

Residential Aide : FT/PT & Per Diem - First/Second/Third Shift: $18.83 - Weekend Differential of $19.83.

Job Title: Residential Aide

Scope of Service: Assists individuals with daily personal routines, including providing prompts for daily living skills, skill-building activities, and participation in groups. Provides companionship to clients and establishes a trusting and professional relationship. Works with licensed nursing personnel to monitor medical concerns and observe interaction with medications, as indicated. Reports any concerns or medical issues. Ensures living spaces are safe, sanitary, and well-organized. Leads group activities and outings. Collaborates with nursing, management, and coworkers to ensure clients receive the best quality services. . Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent considered with a minimum of three (3) years experience in related field.
• Prior experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or addiction.
• Valid Connecticut Driver’s license with clean driving record is required. Program positions may require the employee to maintain reliable transportation and be willing to transport clients in personal vehicles.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Employee is responsible to maintain ongoing certification.
• Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office and electronic record keeping

VA PTSD - New Haven, CT

• PT 16 Hours Sunday/Monday 7am - 3pm
• FT 40 hours Tuesday - Saturday 7am -3pm

VA Next Steps - New Haven, CT

• PT 24 Hours Fri-Sun 3PM-11PM
