Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is a full-service, multi-disciplinary engineering, architectural, and environmental consulting firm that provides planning, design, and construction management services.  With a professional and technical staff of over 750, the firm’s services are focused on the needs of governmental, educational, institutional, and private sector clients.

We are currently seeking an Intern to work with our Highway/Roadway group in our Richmond, VA office.

Responsibilities:

The Roadway Engineer Intern will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support senior engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of roadway design.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited institution
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
