Position Purpose: Mission Assurance Managers support program execution of mission assurance requirements through direct engagement on program teams and with customers.

Title: Senior Mission Assurance Manager

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $125,000 - $185,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent oversite for program execution for overall program risk and mission success in a Mission Class C/D environment.
  • Establish and execute mission assurance requirements for each assigned program tracking and delivering all program internal and customer deliverables (SDRLs/CDRLs).
  • Lead a team of cross functional Mission and Quality assurance engineers.
  • Work with design assurance; reliability, EEE parts, radiation and M&P to meet program requirements and needs.
  • Lead program and product line Failure Review Boards.
  • Support non-conformance process and material review boards.
  • Support Risk and Opportunity Boards as a voting member.
  • Write and close Mission Assurance Bulletins supporting cross program and product line anomaly communication.
  • Support to department for process updates and cross functional communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a related mission assurance or quality role. Preferred 5+ years in space mission assurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent discipline.
  • Experience in any of the following disciplines: Quality Assurance, System Safety Engineering, Environment/Safety/Health, Reliability, Parts Engineering, and Materials and Processes.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and Processes.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work teams through difficult conversations to resolution.
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal. Presentation experience is required.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and effectively multi-task and exercise time management.
  • Team player within and outside Mission Assurance.
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.  BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
