We are currently seeking an experienced civil engineering Designer to join our Transportation – Traffic team in our Tampa, FL office. The Traffic Engineering Designer will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support Senior Engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of transportation design.
Requirements:
- 15+years of experience in the civil engineering field
- High School diploma or State Equivalency Certificate Required. Technical Certification, Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures
- Experience designing transportation projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with FDOT policies and procedures; experience with other state and local agencies in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic a plus
- 3D design experience a plus
- Experience with design software tools including MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
- Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
