Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy machinery used in the mulching, logging, and vegetation industries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diesel engines, A/C systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery, including mulchers, skidders, feller bunchers, and other logging/vegetation equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Service and repair diesel engines, including fuel systems, A/C systems, and electrical components.
• Inspect and replace worn parts, such as bearings, belts, and hydraulic hoses.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a mechanic working with heavy machinery in the mulching, logging, or vegetation industries.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, A/C systems, electrical components, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
