Description

We are hiring for multiple positions:  Grinder Specialists, CNC Mill, and CNC Lathe!
 
JOB SUMMARY:
Constructs tight-tolerance, high-precision mold components as indicated by mold design specifications and blueprints using multiple machines designed for metalworking fabrication.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
The primary or essential functions of the position are listed below.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Studies blueprints, sketches, and drawings to manufacture parts to print specifications.
  2. Ensures fabricated parts are secured before machining, using clamps, vices, etc.
  3. Before machining, measure and mark metal stock to define the proper placement of cuts.
  4. Checks work pieces to ensure they are properly lubricated and/or cooled during machining.
  5. Develops specifications from general descriptions and draws sketches of a part or product to be fabricated, when necessary.
  6. Troubleshoots molds to find nonconformance and oversees repairs, as needed.
  7. Disassembles a mold frame, performs maintenance, and reassembles without blueprints, if needed.
  8. Fabricates new structural products, using a variety of metalworking machines.
  9. Fits and manufactures parts for mold assembly.
  10. Calculates dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or calipers.

  1. A high school diploma or equivalency is strongly preferred
  2. Mold Maker Apprenticeship in progress or completed
  3. Prior experience or education in injection molding or plastics industry (strongly desired)
  4. Possesses basic English comprehension (verbal and written)
  5. Communicates effectively with teammates
  6. Works well independently (self-motivated), as well as in a team environment
  7. Maintains a positive attitude and strong individual work ethic
  8. Possesses a strong attention to detail
  9. Is capable of multi-tasking
  10. Consistently meets deadlines
  11. Possesses strong math skills
  12. Possesses strong technical manufacturing skills
  13. Reads and understands blueprints
  14. Makes good decisions when problem-solving; independent judgment is required
  15. Regards safety as a priority
  16. Possesses a commitment to housekeeping and maintains a very clean work environment
  17. Is willing to work on any of the three shifts, as required (including overtime coverage)
