Description
Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Travel Clerk III on a Government contract with a place of performance at El Paso TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform transportation duties to facilitate government sponsored personal property shipments.
- Serves as a tier level team member in duties and tasks involving receipt, storage, issue and shipment of personal property.
- Follow clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence.
- Operate basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.
- Familiar with the terminology of the office unit.
- Performs various aspects of clerical work such as storage management, cataloging, code, label and file documents in an extensive alphabetical file.
- Select appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals.
- Refer recognized problems to others.
- Maintain a safe work record.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, retain, and execute pertinent travel regulations.
- Ability to brief small and large groups of people.
- Counsel all ranks of military personnel and family member to process various types of moves.
- Provides counseling to DoD personnel as to entitlement in shipping household goods.
- Prepares Personally Procured Move (PPM) documents for Service Members. Instruct Service Member to property fill out and turn in appropriate documents for finalizing PPMs.
- Provides Service Members the basic information to process their household good claims in DPS, GHC, and MillMove.
- Assist in a variety of administrative matters, maintaining a wide variety of reports.
- Compiling information: and handling and adjusting complaints
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Assignments requires:
- A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- Required to comply with all SOPs and adhere to all Safety policies.
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Assists with the preparation and scheduling of transportation efforts.
- Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.
- Process all required documents for data input.
- Accurately check orders for accurate information
- Compiles data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Comply with Technica Employee Handbook dress code.
- Comply with Technica Identification Badge wearing guidance.
- Comply with Technica Cellular Phone Guidance
- Assist customer at the front desk, via email, telephonically and via MS TEAMS.
- Provide general information on DPS, GHC and MillMove systems when soldier is self-counseling.
- Provide guidance and information on POV shipment.
- Accept and review signed document as soldier turn them in at the front desk.
- Counsel and enter shipments in Defense Personal Property System (DPS).
- Brief deployment storage entitlement.
- Brief Levy and ETS brief
- Adequate knowledge of JTR Chapter 5, DTR, It's Your Move Pamphlet
- Process PPM advances
- Familiar with retirement entitlements and extension requests
- Assist Material Coordinator with duties.
- Process and close out PPM and send to DFAS for payment via Smart Voucher.
- Able to contact different branches of service to assist members of all branches.
- Familiar with different agencies on post and POCs
- Ability to brief in detail regarding entitlements.
- Answer telephones
- Listen to and return voicemails and emails throughout the day.
- Must possess excellent mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident for more than 3 years for CAC/ NACI eligibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position.
- Must be able to pass a urinalysis.
- Valid state driver's license
- Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be able to work in a team environment or alone, including working in hot, dusty, windy areas for prolong time periods.
- Be able to pick up and movement items within a 50 lbs. restriction.
- Be capable of climbing and working on equipment at 10 feet above ground limit.
- Be capable of using and understanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
