This position will focus on recruiting, training, and retaining a robust network of volunteers who will lead activities such as CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, book clubs, and socials. The ideal candidate will have experience with event management and facilitation, is familiar with North Philadelphia (specifically the Nicetown/Tioga neighborhood), and will be comfortable with building strong relationships throughout the community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain a strong volunteer program including recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers
- Connect with local fitness and social organizations in the community to support our volunteer programs
- Help grow our robust sober active community throughout Philadelphia
- Beginning in November 2025, commuting approximately 3 days a week to the new Phoenix community building in the Nicetown/ Tioga neighborhood
- Commute regularly for events and outreach. Infrequent (up to 1-2/ year) national travel for possible team retreats
- Work evening and weekend hours as needed
- Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of relevant work or volunteer experience (volunteer engagement, management, event coordination, etc.)
- Organizational and time management skills, as well as adaptability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Comfortable with assessing talent and having coaching conversations where needed
- A self-starter mindset, humility, and integrity
PREFERENCES

- Currently living in or highly familiar with North and West Philadelphia
- Ability to speak multiple languages
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- $56,400.00 - $62,600.00
- 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match
