Job Overview:

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees a GSS warehouse, leading and coordinating the staff while managing the daily activities of shipping, receiving, and delivering products to customers in an efficient manner. They lead the warehouse team by example and foster a warehouse environment that prioritizes safety, ensuring that all HAZMAT materials are handled properly. The successful candidate will have previous warehouse management experience, prioritize safety, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the warehouse team. Ensure efficient and effective workflow.
• Foster an environment of collaboration and teamwork.
• Develop and promote a warehouse environment that is dedicated to the prioritization of warehouse safety guidelines.
• File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items. Distribute them to shipping or to the designated route driver storage area.
• Ship and receive products as well as unload and pack trucks, possessing the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Communicate with shipping companies to obtain quotes and schedule shipments.
• Ensure shipments meet specifications as outlined by GovSci procedures, shipping companies and/or government regulations.
• Oversee the handling of chemicals within the warehouse. Ensure proper protocol is followed. Prepare required documentation for HAZMAT shipments.
• Possess knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations, ensuring staff receive required and necessary training. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and communicate updates to warehouse staff.
• Maintain inventory control of materials received, sent, and used. Ensure documentation is maintained and properly filed.
• Operate warehouse machinery in accordance with safety guidelines.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• High school diploma.
• 4+ years of warehouse management experience.
• Safety and detailed-oriented.
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external communications.
• Proficient computer skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior experience with Quality Assurance processes.
• Inventory control experience is a plus.
• Possession of a current CDL B driver’s license is a plus.

Salary:

70,000.00- 75,000.00

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.
