The State of North Dakota is looking for a Drupal Web Developer to join our Data Division to support the creation and development of web-based software applications with both custom and standard connections within the cloud environment. Summary of Work
The Drupal Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining web content management technologies to facilitate and empower collaborative environments across the State of North Dakota. This includes having knowledge of graphic design and layout, web accessibility, identity and branding, Drupal (Web Content Management), Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Bootstrap/Responsive Design, proficiency in XHTML, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX, CSS and various web browsers (including compatibility issues between different products and versions)., as well as troubleshooting issues for end-users. The Drupal Web Developer will apply development best practices and design principles to create easy-to-use and maintainable web content management technologies. The individuals must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to perform in a fast-paced, progressive, and challenging environment. The Drupal Web Developer will work in a team environment and all team members are responsible for project success.
Duties and Tasks
- Strong understanding and experience with web content management technologies.
- Interacts with the user team to ensure all changes are coordinated and integrated and can provide regular project status updates.
- Graphic design and layout, typography, icon development, identity, and branding.
- Working to tight deadlines, able to manage priorities well, able to juggle several initiatives, successfully and shift priorities.
- Manage continuous improvement that exceeds customer expectations while assisting the agency in reaching World Class IT service delivery.
- Drive innovation thru monitoring and evaluating emerging technologies to determine the impact on services and feasibility of implementation; ensure a high level of technology solutions to best serve customers’ needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or related field. One year of current and progressive related work experience.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field, and two years of progressive experience involving moderately difficult programming and system analysis work.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals with experience and knowledge in Drupal Web Content Management System.
