Reporting to the Repair/Rental Manager, the Rental/Repair Technician has primary responsibility for servicing and repairing electrical and mechanical power tools and equipment.  The Rental/Repair Technician also assists in rental procedures.

• Receives rentals from customer by checking that the equipment remains in factory specifications, clean and good working order and free of damage.
• Prepares final invoicing for the billing of rental equipment.
• Pulls rentals from inventory and prepares the equipment for usage.
• Performs simple maintenance on equipment and makes sure that equipment is up to specifications before sending out to customer.
• Ships rentals out to proper customer, making sure they are labeled properly.
• Creates labels as needed.
• Interacts regularly with Shipping Department to ensure proper routing to customer job sites.
• Performs repairs on electrical and battery-operated power tools, gas equipment, outdoor power equipment, air compressors, generators and other equipment.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Provides customer with quality customer service demonstrating a sense of urgency to complete and deliver the rental.
• Supports customer service needs onsite, as well as occasionally through phone support.
• Completes service reports properly and enters data appropriately through designated computer system
• Unloads rental equipment being shipped from branches from trucks, using forklift as needed.
• Operates a forklift, electric or manual pallet jack to move equipment from staging areas to shipping or on and off customer vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned
