- Position: Full-time
Roles/ Responsibility/ Qualifications:
Professionally represent SETEC while you market and sell electronic security solutions such as intrusion, video surveillance, and access control systems. Contribute to the business development activities of SETEC, some of which include:
- Engaging with SETEC leaders and solution experts to deliver innovative solutions to clients.
- Maintaining and growing client relationships, including a combination of new business development and existing business expansion responsibilities.
- Meeting with potential clients, conducting site surveys, supplying proposals, and closing opportunities.
- Responding to customer needs in an enthusiastic and prompt manner.
- Investigating and resolving customer issues about delivery dates, billings, and other related matters.
- Work with the Operations team to ensure the prompt completion of projects.
The base candidate requirements are:
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Effective listening, questioning, and verbal/written communication skills
- Personal integrity, initiative, responsibility, and the ability to “get things done”
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand acceptable business English.
- Must be initiative-taking and able to function independently, with dedicated client services focus and ardent desire to succeed
- Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Outlook, and the internet
- Minimum education qualification: High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to drive to and attend meetings and site surveys (some of which will require several hours of standing and walking)
- Ability to travel, as necessary, to see clients out of state (regional and national accounts)
- Must be able to pass a Virginia State Police and US Government background checks for the purpose of obtaining and keeping licensing/clearances
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience and existing connections in the security industry
- The ability to read diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience in the bidding/negotiating process with 2 or more years working experience with a successful history of building sales
- Familiarity with construction processes, principles and permits
- Strong understanding of intrusion, video surveillance, and access control systems
- Entrepreneurial skills to manage the overall account like a business sales support, delivery management, staff management
- Active private security registration and/or federal government clearance
- Education and/or formal technical training beyond High School

- Pay will consist of a salary based on your skills and experience, augmented by commission based on sales
