We are a commercial moving company located in Moorestown, NJ and are in search of Class A drivers.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Transports deliveries locally or over the road and perform commercial relocations according to Bill of Lading (BOL) in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company procedures and applicable DOT, Federal, State and local regulations.

2. Operates hand truck, pallet jack and other moving equipment properly, as needed.

3. Applies knowledge and abilities to safely load and unload goods according to size of load and content description.

4. Processes shipment documents; BOL, inventory, client documents, and others, neatly and efficiently for each shipment, and manages discrepancy documentation. Provides client with receipt copies of BOL and other forms for goods delivered or picked up or work completed.

5. Obtains and maintains proper delivery authorization and pickup documentation, and submits in a timely manner with all necessary notations in accordance with company standards.

6. Provides good customer service and maintains a professional manner and appearance to enhance the company's image.

7. Performs a daily DOT pre-trip inspection according to checklist, and keeps an accurate copy in the vehicle at all times.

8. Maintains a daily, legible DOT log book and submits as required.

9. At the time the driver is scheduled to begin work, he will report to the dispatcher. The dispatcher will give the driver his assignment. The dispatcher will inform the driver if he is working with a foreman, other driver or helper(s) that day. If the driver is assigned to work with a foreman or senior driver, he will receive and comply with specific work instructions form the assigned foreman or senior driver.

10. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of company trucks, vans, tractors and trailers including sweeping of floors, removal of trash, securing all equipment and cleaning windows, windshields and mirrors.

11. Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times. Adhere to all company policies including safety procedures.

12. Ensures proper maintenance of vehicle and reports all accidents/damage/malfunctions to management.

13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
