SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Commercial Operations Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of all ROV and other related equipment and activities performed under all commercial contracts. His/her primary role is to monitor system readiness, operations, engineering, financial, and reporting aspects of all commercial contracts, while maintaining a direct line of communications and personal contact with the client on a regular basis. The Project Manager must ensure that clear and concise communications are maintained throughout the Project and Program Management Group - Phoenix and client. The position is based in Largo, MD and reports to the Commercial Operations Program Manager.
CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT (HOURLY)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish, maintain, and report on system readiness and preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) for Phoenix commercial equipment including, but not limited to: Remora II ROV, Remora III ROV, Commercial Recovery Equipment, Commercial xBot III, and the Commercial TPL.
- Ensure overall satisfaction of client with Phoenix’s contract
- Assist the Commercial Operations Program Manager with sales efforts.
- Generate cost estimates for potential tasks for the Program Manager’s review and
- Track costs and report on the status of all commercial
- Ensure DOT is updated on a consistent basis.
- Conduct pre and post job reviews with project
- Ensure final reports are completed and
- Coordinate various groups of management, engineering, operations, logistics and support personnel resources to meet the demands of an efficient project
- Schedule personnel to properly support Phoenix and client
- Update employee records to accurately reflect past performance and
- Comply with established Phoenix QMS processes and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum six years management and leadership experience with complex underwater search and recovery operations in depths exceeding 8,000 feet of water involving multiple government and commercial
- Experience with management of personnel and equipment including ROVs and underwater search
- Demonstrated understanding of project management and control, cost estimating, cost control, operations scheduling, operations forecasting, manpower requirements, and utilization and logistics
- Ability to provide direction and support to achieve mission requirements.
- Ability to establish and maintain a high level of professionalism and morale within the operations staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal)
- Computer skills with competence in Microsoft Office
- Ability to board vessels and willing to travel to Phoenix and client facilities as required.
- Ability to obtain a S. Government security clearance.
