Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies is accepting applications for a Maintainer in Millbrook, NY. This is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt benefited, union position.

Duties include repair, maintenance and improvements of the buildings, roads, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications include the ability to wear Protective Personal Equipment, including a respirator. Candidate must also have the ability to lift 50 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time.

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, hold a valid driver’s license and have the ability to perform general maintenance in both interior and exterior environments. Minimum 4 years experience performing maintenance in commercial and residential buildings which include carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.  The successful candidate will be conscientious and safety-minded.

All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Finalists candidates will be subject to a pre-employment, post-offer background check. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for employment.

Position reports to Mr. Fred Merritt.
